Blaze Aid – All Fired Up Grants

At Hewitt & Whitty, we’re passionate about helping farmers stay safe, prepared and resilient. That’s why we’re proud to support BlazeAid’s All Fired Up 2026 grant program, which helps farmers repair, service and improve their private firefighting equipment ahead of bushfire season.

For 2026 the program is a 50% co-payment grant. BlazeAid contributes half the approved cost of eligible work or equipment, and you cover the rest. Applications open at 9am on 1 September 2026 and close at 5pm on 30 September 2026.

BlazeAid is also expanding the initiative to supply air/water fire extinguishers to households, small landholders and country road users, helping more of our community be ready this fire season.

Who Can Apply

You’re eligible if you:

• Are a farmer located in Australia, excluding South Australia

• Are committed to improving your fire preparedness and supporting your local community

• Can provide an itemised supplier quote, including supplier details, the proposed equipment or work, and the total cost including GST

For the water extinguisher grant, you need to be a member of a local community and take part in local brigade preparedness training.

What’s Covered

BlazeAid contributes 50% of approved eligible costs. Eligible items include:

• Slip-on and skid-mounted firefighting units

• Firefighting trailers

• Baffled water tanks

• Firefighting pumps and engines

• Hose reels, hoses, nozzles and fittings

Successful applicants are also supplied a water extinguisher by BlazeAid at no cost.

How to Apply

• Check you meet the eligibility requirements above

• Get an itemised quote from your chosen supplier. Come and see us and we’ll put one together for you

• Complete the online application form and include your quote. Quotes can also be emailed to afu@blazeaid.com.au

• If you’re approved, BlazeAid pays 50% of the eligible costs and you arrange the work or equipment with your supplier
